Neato, Alice! You gonna go check it out?
I wonder: will those "European vintage cycling jerseys" give off an aroma of "European vintage b.o."?
(Is wool less stinky than modern wicking fabrics? Could hardly be worse, I reckon. Peee-ewww!)

I'd like to go, but I have Mom obligations, too. In addition, Sacha is making me so broke I doubt I can afford another jersey. She's soooooo high maintenance!

Have fun with your kiddo on Mom's Day!
Hmm...I've heard of high-maintenance wimmin being referred to as "arm candy." What would we call a fancy bike -- leg candy?

I can't make it. Church and then lunch with mom. But if anyone is going and happens to see the Specialized "Think Globally Bike Locally" "One Less Car" jersey in size L, I'll pay up to $40 for it.

My 17 year old just got her first car and always has her hand out towards her carfree Mom for gas money.
Oh the irony...

Alice,
Sacha is the name of my new Specialized S-Works frameset. I had to search far and wide to find her, and she cost me a pretty penny. Now I have to complete her "outfit" which involves a Campy groupset and other odds and ends.
Here's a link to the story:

At the last minute, I decided to go check this out. My first experience with the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Wow... quite a snapshot of Americana at that place.
The jersey stash alone was not worth a trip out to Pasadena and fighting the masses. Mostly 70's, 80's vintage, cheap acrylic club jerseys. But most could be had for ten bucks if you found one you liked. The pile had been pretty well picked over (some guy was just paying for 15 jerseys, which he was going to sell to a local shop/ebay), but the guy said he had hundreds more "at the warehouse" and would bring another batch to next month's flea market.
I didn't want to leave empty handed:

I had not been to the Rose Bowl Flea Market for many years.. I would say the jerseys were average at best. The seller said he had just received over 1000 more and would bring them next time.. You could find something if you were a euro size 1 thru 3.. Not much sized over that..
