ME mentioned being a nice Southern gal.
Which makes me curious... who here is from out-of-state and who is a native Californian?
I'll start:

Born and raised in Pasadena, CA

Born and raised in the OC.

And that's how we do it in the OC.

4th Generation.. Born and raised in Claremont, just recently moved to Upland..

Well, now I'm considered a native because I've lived here 17 years (as of June 20th anyway). :D

Norcal from birth until mid-80s. Socal ever since (minus one east coast year).

Born, raised, and lived in Yokohama, Japan the first 18 years of my life. Pretty much in L.A. ever since... :)

Born in Hong Kong, raised in Brooklyn, NY.

Born in the OC (Anaheim) and moved to LA County when I was 5.

Born and raised in PV, 4 years in SLO, back in PV since '91

Native San Diegan, 2nd generation native Californian.

Born in Hollywood, grew up in Long Beach, college in LA, live in OC.

Born and raised in St.Louis, MO. CA once '77-'80. Wife didn't like CA, moved back to MO. Divorced that wife '95, been in SoCal ever since. Found a new wife in 2002; she's from OR, lived here since she was 5.

3rd Generation San Diegan.

Not a native to California, but an even rarer native. I was born and raised in Colorado. Spent about 6 years in AZ and then moved to So Cal in 1976, been here ever since.

Born in NH. Then all over. Socal for 3 years.

Born and raised in Long Beach, live in Huntington Beach now....

Born in Brooklyn NY, raised in Long Island NY, moved to Las Vegas, got married, bought another home in Ontario, CA. Hate the traffic.......Stay mostly in Vegas.

Ditto...with 11 months in Arizona.

Born in Iowa (yep!) but I escaped when I was only 2 to head to Denver, Colorado where I spent the rest of my formative years (until 29)

SoCal for 18 years, Wisconsin before that.

Born in Long Beach, grew up in the city of Orange, OC & then moved to Temecula in 1994

Born and raised in Brooklyn! After grad school lived mostly in upstate NY and New England--Vermont (ah!), Mass., CT.

Moved out here 9 1/2 years ago. Best move ever.

Born in Hong Kong, moved here when I was 5 - elementary school years in Pasadena, jr. high/high in Covina, then off to West LA for college/post-college, back to Pasadena, and now Arcadia. Looking at the insane housing prices nowadays, though - considering the PacNW (Portland?) in the near future.
