What's going on at the Fullerton Loop?
Does anyone know what’s going on with the trail near the railroad tracks (before the golf course)? There is a sign indicating the trail is closed, but it looks like most bikes are going through. The dirt next to the freshly dug ditch is very loose. I hope riders will think twice and walk their bikes along the tracks. I’m afraid if riders try to ride along the ditch they might damage the work that’s been done causing the city to completely restrict bikes (something to think about).

I spoke with one of the guys who was working on the trail (in his tractor after 7:00pm). The property is owned by the railroad, not the city. Trains are still running on the tracks about 2 - 3 times a week. A train recently derailed due to the amount of dirt and debris in the tracks. The crew is working on cleaning up and repairing the tracks. The crew was very courteous and stopped the tractor to let us go through (I stopped and started walking on the other side of the tracks and he waved us through). Hopefully other riders will be courteous and allow the crew to finish up until the work is done.
