Velodrome in Huntington Beach???

Does anyone know anything about a Velodrome in Huntington Beach (maybe in Westminister)? It is on Bolsa Chica Road and I noticed it when I was driving toward the freeway yesterday (it is near the intersection of Edinger and Bolsa Chica). Anyone been there? Is there a website to go and watch races?

There are 3 velodromes in SoCal:
1) ADT Event Center in Carson - see the link in my sig for details
2) Encino Velodrome in Balboa Park in Encino
3) San Diego Velodrome in Balboa Park in San Diego

All the websites are linked above, and you can go watch races at any of them. For the local races, Encino and ADT are free for spectators, not sure about San Diego.

I go to the two in LA pretty regularly, and the one in SD occasionally.

Not sure what's on Bolsa Chica road.

I don't believe there's a velodrome there, next time take a picture of the suspected area.

I took a look on Google earth and there's nothing that looks like a velodrome from the air.

My daughter used to go to summer school at that corner, and I worked at Boeing right there also and I've never seen anything the even remotely resembles a velodrome.

Two corners of that intersection have retail strip malls (southwest & southeast), the northwest corner is Navy land, while the northeast corner is residential. Granted, I haven't been at that corner in a month or so, but you'd think someone on SoCal BF would know if one was being built.

There's a gym (South Coast Athletic Club??) further north up Bolsa Chica near Bolsa.

You discribed the location perfectly, no velodrome.

Could it be the Vandedrome (portable velodrome)?

I'd be surprised if someone snuck it into LA and I didn't hear about it within a few days.

Last I heard it (basically the supports) was owned by Northhampton Cycling Club in Massachusetts and they were trying to raise money to put new boards on it. That was a few years ago and I haven't tried to keep track of it.

Interesting. I almost got to ride on it when it was in Del Mar in 1995, but it rained the night before.
