Bike Fit

Hi all,

I live in woodland hills and do a modest 18-30 miles a day in and around the valley. I have a novara express (the REI house brand) . I suffer from probably too many nagging aches and pains. I know the basics of fitting but I think I'm at the point where I need to get a professional fit. Can anyone recommend a good place? I don't mind driving, so anywhere from Oxnard to OC would work.

Thanks in advance.

Sundance in Agour, jsut off the 101 and Kanaan Rd. Ask for Ashton. He fit me a couple of years ago, and this spring he fit my wife, after her fit experience 3 or our cycling friends also got fit. Everybody has been very happy with the job they did.

I believe several BFers have gone to BodyFix in Thousand Oaks.

Sundance sounds good. Do you remember how much it was?

May I make a suggestion? Before you go to a fitter, go to a chiropractor who knows sports related injuries. Get an assessment and work that with the pro bike fitter. If you think the bike fitter will fix your injuries, maybe not. The symptoms must be treated first, then explore the causes.

Some do not like chiropractors, but they do have a place in the healing arts. A good pro bike fitter would know of one.
