my ride through fallbrook this weekend.
yea, it was only 25 miles, but we're not the craziest climbers and it was 97 degrees and there were a lot of hills. i started to fade pretty quickly around mile 17 and i didn't have any more water or gu or energy bars. but, we made it home. where the stop sign is on the map is where they film "tori and dean: inn love" (if you've heard of it). i saw tori outside and i yelled "go back to hollywood!" she yelled something back, but i was riding and couldn't hear what it was.

I can imagine... Fallbrook = not flat. I've been through that area alot of times during road rallies over the last few years.

I rode out there on Friday and my shins were sweating. I went up Olive Hill, made a left at FHS, went through town, stopped at my sister's house, kept going to 395, stopped for jelly beans and a Monster at the Pala Mesa Market, right on W. Lilac and back to the coast.

sounds rad, wish we would've seen you. i'll let you know next time we're out there.

Try riding the Butterfield Double next year! We hit Fallbrook at about mile 114 and the pain didn't stop until we were almost to Temecula!
Looking on the bright side, at least it wasn't too hot! Rick / OCRR |
