If you change your mind on DV, I'm sharing a room with one other guy, and I'm sure we could make room for one more.

It's funny that I'm talking about not doing anymore doubles and Vance may be looking at finishing the Triple Crown! :D

Yeah, and if he busts a move, he might even make the 1,000 mile club. ;)

I'm definitely not going to make the 1,000 mile club, since Knoxville is the same day as Lighthouse. But there are still plenty of doubles to complete yet.

I'm planning on doing it. That will give me the tripple crown...

DV fall is a terrific ride, marked by Hells Gate at mile 170...
SFD is beautiful and much different than the spring route! Tepusquet Canyon in the beginning, Prefumo Canyon at the middle, and Vandenberg at the end. I would caution people against eating at the lunch stop though... take the meal and eat at the top of the canyon because many people were going to be sick after doing extended sections of 9-13%... Thankfully I was with the SAG team on the day of the event and rode the route the following day, so I knew what was up. The descent after Tepusquet is absolutely gorgeous!!! Tree covered, winding sections of new blacktop (new last year, so it will still be really nice this year) that encourages speed in everyone except me... |
I guess I'm in training mode for this ride ... Auburn Century and Lighthouse Century this month ... I'm gonna die on Auburn ... 11,000 feet climbing

Okay, I sent in my registration to Planet Ultra so I'm in for the Fall Solvang Double! For me, Bass Lake will have to wait until next year.

I've done several 8-11K days in the past few weeks training for everest. This should be a cake-walk :p

Well, it looks like I'm out. My cousin's wedding is on the same day. I guess it is truely no more doubles for me this year.
