Where can I buy rose petals?

Today is my wife's birthday, and her request includes rose petals and candles. Who am I to complain? But I've never just gotten petals before. Do flower shops or other places sell them, or do I just need to buy a couple dozen roses and pull them off myself? Thanks in advance.

Florists should sell rose petals. They are used in weddings all of the time. You can even buy freeze dried petals.

Mo'Phat's suggestion sounds the most fun, but I'll see if my local florist has them. The good thing about living in Pasadena is that there are at least 6 florists within a mile of my house!

Flower shops sell rose petals, but for my wedding, I found it was cheaper to buy the roses whole and have my bridal party strip the petals off!

...I was hoping it'd be a picture of the bridal party stripping rose petals off roses.

OK OK you caught me. I plan on wearing them on next years AIDS/Lifecycle Ride.

I'll probably pick them up at Home Depot or something. It's usually like $12 for 2 dozen.
