Any good SHORT routes in/around carlsbad?
It seems i'm heading down there this weekend with my girlfriend and another friend who has access to his parent's timeshare. I'd like to ride a bit but my girlfriend probably can only manage a 15-20 mile ride so i'm wondering if there's any good roads to check out. Nothing too epic please.

And if riding the coast is too flat for you, try taking Poinsettia or Aviara Pkwy/Alga east, making a left at Melrose and riding to San Elijo Hills. There's a nice (non-Starbucks!) coffee shop and if you feel like riding further, Elfin Forest/Harmony Grove is a very pleasant ride without any tough climbing.
Have fun!
