My original question has been unanimously answered already and that was all I was looking to know.
I've no desire to contort myself into this culture or neighborhood as you call it. Nor do I think or have claimed that anyone here is striving or able to be exclusive in anyway. In the past if a person wasn't an actual racer they would never dress up as one as it would be too embarrassing, meaningless and dishonest. Now that it has been made trendy, all sorts of fatsos, over-the-hills, gays looking for gays, she-men and folks who only recently learned to ride a bike can excitedly dress up and band together to celebrate their ineptitude. This behavior is contrary to my spirit and must be rejected.
My question here has been answered so I will move on.

Oh, care to revisit this post? I see that your "spirit" doesn't engage in name calling.

Personally, I gravitate towards the Midnight Rideazz sorts of rides as my form of bikey social outlet. I fear your outlook on bikey life would be a real bummer in that subculture, as well. Why diss on an activity that generates joy and does no harm?
+1.
We can lock this thread anytime you all are ready. Feel free to "vote" with a post report. I'm home sick today, so I'll keep tabs...

Glad to hear it. You've got a real knack for offending a great many people in just one paragraph. Normally we'd delete a post like this, but it would monkey with the flow of the thread at this point. Also, I don't think anyone reading this would feel the least bit uncomfortable telling you how they feel about what you wrote. (Just keep it clean, kids. )

I vote yes on locking it but not deleting it. It can be the thread we refer to if anymore trolls decide to come in and start the negativity all over again. Thanks again, Donna.

Normal. I think we are better adjusted than the general population. It's just we adopt our cycling styles to our kind of cycling. Maybe you should get to know us all a little better.
