Beware of Palos Verdes Drive West-Road pavement
Just want to let the S.B. riders know that there is contruction on Palos Verdes Drive W
Apparently they are are doing the pavement starting from Paseo Lunado.
Man, it was not a good day for me. I got tar stuck to my tires for two blocks before I decided to turn back.
I can't seem to see the end of the contruction. It might be a long stretch before the road is clear.
So if anyone plans to ride to PV on this wkend, perhaps you might want to take a detour.

Thanks Gary! I'm supposed to stay off my bike for a while, but I may try to sneak in a light spin this weekend if the weather is nice. (Shhh.... don't tell Dr. Dan!)

Are you preparing for a Tri-Race? I was riding along w/ a group of SBW riders and they mentioned something about race coming up.
If so, good luck to you.

I got dropped on the Donut ride once... (caught up at the top of marymount).
There's also the doctor's ride on Sunday (??)
Check out the Southbay wheelmen's website. They have some open rides in pv.

The Donut Ride is very popular, but I can't keep up with that hammerfest.
Here is one of my training routes. Bikely's elevation isn't completely accurate, but it gives you a ballpark idea. The second and third climbs will give you some tasty 13-20% portions.

Nope, no races for me in the near future, Gary, but thanks. There is a cyclocross race next Sunday in Torrance, not sure what else they could be talking about locally.

They have both Sat and Sun rides. I never got the opportunity to ride on Sat. with them but their Sun. ride is more like a recovery ride. Very relax and only goes about 25mi.
However, I dont think they have the Sun. ride this wk b/c Jim (the organizer) is on vacation.
Hey, I'm feel this Sun. If any local BRer interested in riding together. My route is pretty similar to HappyTime except not as "gun-oh" on the pace and the duration.
