Get out there while the weather's good!

The forecast calls for 70's today, slightly lower temps tomorrow, and rain over the weekend. I'll be taking a hike with my wife since this is her last day off and doing a nice long ride tomorrow before the wetness kicks in.

Psydotek 01-02-08 12:03 PM

I'm going to try... Will probably visit the LBS today and hopefully bike commute tomorrow.

VanceMac 01-02-08 01:45 PM

Indeed. I just got back from a short Griffith Park loop, and it is glorious. I might have to dust off the mtb if it really does rain for the next 5 days.

Great idea. Chance for me to try out my new shocks I got one year ago. :D

Hiked Monrovia Canyon with the wife and dog. Beautiful. Makes me want to explore the roads around there soon.

Anybody have tomorrow off and want to do a longish morning ride before the rain sets in? I plan on riding even if it starts raining (HTFU).

alicestrong 01-02-08 04:34 PM

They're saying rain late tomorrow...

roadfix 01-02-08 04:46 PM

Yeah, but it's LA rain. It never rains.

I will ride tomorrow night if it's not raining.

Okay this was a little ambitious. Left at 5:45 am and got there at 8:00 pm. Weather was terrible. Headwinds. Climbing Torrey Pines(every god damn street was Torrey Pines) in pitch dark was fantastic.

My legs are toast. 178miles. All u suckas that say I can't ride more than 8miles...

ok.

ovoleg, "is not equal to" or "does not equal" is written like this: !=

Using =/= equates to something akin to "is absolute," which is most often written as: ==
Using the slash between them does not make any sense, but if it were to be interpreted in a way which follows shorthand methods, it would be similar to "is absolute."

FYI. Know your logic shorthand, bud.

"pretendor fool" or whatever your name is. Let me break this down for you because you are incapable of English comprehension...

THIS IS NOT A COMPUTER PROGRAMMING CLASS

okay now that we got over that
!= means nothing in any comprehension or logic class.

Yes i've taken computer programming and == means absolute

but you're the biggest noob because you think you are showing me something new and how intelligent you are...yet failure is the only thing you are successful at

Ahhh the good old days when a slash through an equals sign meant "not equals". I think that is what Oleg was drawing. Let me help

the issue was not whether or not you rode in "terrible weather." the issue was whether or not the weather is good year-round. clearly it is not if you rode in "terrible weather."

fool.

Don't worry ovoleg... I'm a self proclaimed pansy. :D

On a side note, i didn't visit the LBS. Had to do some work on my car before it got dark... Tomorrow though there's a chance i will. :)

urbanknight 01-02-08 08:09 PM

Ovo, I plan on riding rain or shine this Sat. You're welcome to join me, but it will be more than 8 miles.

Oh, and my morning commute usually starts around 40 degrees. 50-60 is for the pansies who wait for sunrise to ride.

That would be me. :p
Well weekend is going to suck, I just spent last Saturday cleaning and re-oiling my bike. :(

Visit the road forum. Every week I find a thread about sub freezing temps or pics of people biking in the snow. That makes me feel sane yet wimpy.
