the grocery bag-ging thread?

Is that how this new trend works?

discuss the various qualities of different chain grocery stores strength properties per plastic bags, etc.

Trader Joes is well known for double bagging their organic cucumbers.

That is all.

Trader Joe's gets my vote for efficiency bagging with their paper

IKEA charges 5 cents per bag nowadays. I used to snag a whole bunch to use as trash bags for my garage trash bin as they were a perfect size. No more, I don't want to be a criminal. Darn those Swedes. They better not take away their cheap Swedish meatballs, or I'll revolt.

Target bags are pretty awesome too, seem to be more durable/thicker than the standard plastic grocery bag.

Not entirely off-topic, but I find the Wal-Mart revolving bag holder pretty dumb - oftentimes a customer would not know how many bags their stuff is in and fail to see the last bag holding a miniscule item as it was not revolved to be visible.

I hate having to bag my own groceries almost as much as I hate having some 16 year old punk put my bananas on top of my bread!

Are you really posting that under-aged boys are touching your banana?

+1. And in comparison to strenght it's a canvas bag versus a plastic bag... the canvas bag wins.

Ranch 99 bags are just large enough to be a good garbage bag.

Hey, I used to resemble that remark. Except I wasn't stupid about bagging groceries.

Hey! What happened to reusing musette bags?!??!

Picked up a few at the Tour of California...doing my part to reuse, as all the teams just throw their unused stuff out! What a pity!

I love that store, they had everything I needed for my WOK cooking escapades.
When I go to Trader Joe I put everything in to my Messenger Bag. They have this raphle for people who bring their own bags, but it seems it's kind of random on whether they give you a ticket or not.

Remember, they are no longer Bag Boys

Professionally I believe they prefer to be called: Wrappers
