orange county critical mass, council of DOOM video premier.. fri the 25th

so, apparently we've changed the time tomorrow night... we need to leave a little early to get to RVCA a little bit early. OCCM will be departing from the rooster cafe at 6pm SHARP. we will take a short run through the city and straight over to RVCA for the council of DOOM video premier.

who: you and all your friends. get bikes and come!
what: orange county critical mass!
where: meet at the rooster cafe (directions below).
when: 6pm.
why: to, for one night a month, form a large group and show motorists that we have the same rights to the road as they do.

and, as usual, there may be a few cops following us around in costa mesa. so be sure that you have headlights and tail lights. also, for those under 18, helmets are legally required. and take my advice... if you are under 18 and don't have a helmet, there is a good chance you will get a ticket for it.

It's a clothing company catering to the tragically hip. They sell clothes more or less indistinguishable from what you can buy at Target or JC Penny, but they are much more expensive because they are, well, they just are.

RVCA shirts are awesome, artsy-fartsy designs and the fabric is oh-so soft, they also have a cinelli line

I think it means "clothing" in greek. The V is the roman character for U so it's pronounced "ruca". It's like a secret password to a hip subculture!

Uh, RVCA is over...about 3 yrs. ago. Moms w. SUV fronting their sheit these days. Eh.

Another bunch of OC rag merchants going mainstream off the backs of the skate/surf scene around CM/Newport.

Hey! So this happened on the same night during CM in NYC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUkiyBVytRQ

Dddo you have any more info about it? It's very strange. Easy to assume that the cyclist provoked the officer but the action seems way out of line...unless maybe the guy was brandishing a weapon or something.

Weird.

Accoring to CNN this morning: the police officer in the video is sittting behind a desk while Internal Affairs checks everything out. Unless he has a really good reason why he pummeled this guy I think that he is going to be sitting at the unemployment office soon...

Good luck and share the road. Keep to the right-hand-side unless passing another cyclist or making a left turn and you should be fine.
