Searching for the San Diego Creek Trail

I recognize that this may be an excruiciatingly simple question but bear with me...

I can't find the "off-street bikeway" illustrated by the Irvine bikeways map that runs alongside Harvard between Irvine Center Drive and Barranca.

The closest I get is a driveway with a gate that is often closed (Google Maps Streetview link). Is that the path? Is the path elsewhere? Or does the path not exist?

Though I don't mind riding on roads, I would love it if I could ride on an off-road trail instead of trying to zoom down Culver amidst the cars.

Maybe this will help.

Barber Park is at the Southwest corner of Harvard and Barranca. You can park in the parking lot and the trail is right there. Look at that intersection on google maps and you can see it.

I see the trail but it seems to terminate start at Harvard and Barranca and go East instead of going North. From looking at BCI, it looks like there's a "Harvard Sidepath" on an especially wide sidewalk...which I still can't find. *insert head-banging emoticon here*

Thanks for the pointer, though. Looks like the park has nice facilities.

The off street path has not been completed to link Barranca and Harvard through to the other part starting at the railroad tracks on Harvard.

The only way to get from one to the other is to use Harvard. There is a very wide sidewalk on the east side of Harvard, but there are always many pedestrians there and I think it is safer to just use the bike lane on the street.

Ah, thank you very much, Extort. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to finally know what's going on.
