The Pose Ride is go!
It is time people. Clean the bikes, take a bath, and put on your finest kit. Prepare for a scenic 50 miles of looking good. October 25th, 9:00 ish AM. Meet in Solana Beach at the train station. Plenty of parking there. The route will takes us north up the coast to Café Elysia in Carlsbad where fine coffee and pastries will await to help us refuel after the intense first photo session of the day. Next we take a meandering path inland to San Marcos stopping in at Old California Coffee House, that once again will feature a nice relaxing atmosphere for some serious posing. Our route then takes us south down into Olivenhain to make a stop at the Champagne Bakery for the most extreme posing of the day. Don't forget to get a photo in front of the fountain. Now that we are fat on pastries and stoned on coffee, we burn it off with a very scenic jaunt through Rancho Santa Fe back to Solana Beach. If we make it back in time, we have an opportunity for a grand posing finale at Java Depot. Keep in mind, there are plenty of Starbuckses and parks along the route should some of us start a rebellion and need an unplanned break. Cue slips will be provided. Who's in?
*Cue slip disclaimer: I made these with the help of MapMyRide, and had to do some extensive editing, as MMR is a bit awkward. I did my best but if there is an error feel free to laugh at me. I'll be laughing at me too.

Can't handle it (maybe not):
efficiency

Real men needn't rely on such cheap chicanery to pose effectively.
What sort of man reads Playboy? An on-the-go guy whose desire for adventure knows no boundaries. He’s a jet setter who makes the action, then moves on before the crowd arrives. Facts: 4 out of 5 Playboy readers surveyed said they would like to travel around the world, while only half of all nonreaders expressed this interest. Twice as many Playboy readers as nonreaders said they would like to spend a year in London or Paris. Sound like our man is worth following? Then reach him in the one medium that speaks his language: Playboy.

Geez... I always considered myself a competent poseur, but I've so much to learn:

At first glance, I the bottom left one said "Fun friends and fine potatoes."

I tried the potato trick, but it wasn't working at all. In fact, women seemed even less interested in me. Then my coach told me I was supposed to stuff the potato in the front of my riding shorts, not the back.

Arrrggghhh, gimme a break! Indolent an "apprentice poseur" and efficiency "can't handle it"?? Man, these guys are class, they can do it. Efficiency said he's been just drinking beer, so he should be well prepared.

To the Poseur (er: poster) of this thread, if it's not too late, count me in . Sounds like a good course, and a fun way to spend a Sunday. Maybe I'll talk my wife into joining me.

Is this the Solana Beach train station address?
105 North Cedros Avenue
Solana Beach, CA 92075
The weather forecast looks good - sunny, high 73. GP needs another excuse, the weather thing won't work.
