Velo Pasadena on Colorado in Pasadena. A very high end shop owned by Harach. A fair and very knowledgeable man. I got my ICE there.

Try Stan's Monrovia, Open Road or Incycle. Steve at Open Road is a very good guy, extremely knowledgeable, and has been around forever (the shop can be untidy, be patient). Stan's is a very reputable shop with good service. Stan also does group rides every day of the week (I usually do the Sunday ride). Incycle has good service, selection and knowledgeable staff, but their prices do tend to be a tad high sometimes.

Every time I've walked into Velo Pasadena I've been treated with a definite "if you're not spending >$6K on a bike, we're not particularly interested in what you want or need". I've also heard of some questionable ... (envisioning lawyers at the door) ... from more than one industry source. Velo Pasadena is best avoided IMO.
