Nice road ride with Trek North County Store

Saturday morning I rode over to the Trek store in Vista. They have a road group ride that goes out every Saturday at 7:30. It was pretty cold, so there were only 2 of us with 4 shop employees.

If you are looking to get some group riding experience, this is a nice group to go with. All the shop guys were very friendly and helpful. The ride is about 28 miles, to the coast and back with enough hills to make it challenging but not brutal.

I didn't charge my Garmin the night before so I don't have data and can't tell you how fast it was.

They said they get 20 or more riders with better weather.

Are you riding with them again this coming Saturday (6th)? I love a group ride with 5 or fewer riders, but I get frustrated in large packs, (mostly because of the take-a-laners.)

It looks like there is a Trek group ride from 56 to Carlsbad tomorrow at 8:30, is this the same group?

Do you have to have a Trek to ride? Looking for a ride like this tomorrow.

The group I went with left from the North County store in Vista. I ride a Scattante Hybrid from Performance. Having a Trek is not required.

I think they have rides from many of their stores.

Scroll down to North County Ride, that is the one I did.
