ToC Time Trial in LA on Saturday

Anyone else going to watch the time trial in LA on Saturday?
I'm riding my Goldwing up (easy parking), and probably retroposing in the La Vie Claire jersey (no helmet) while walking around on the off-chance I might be able to spot myself in the DVD footage.

It's going to be a madhouse, but if you see the blond poser in the LVC jersey, please say hello. And the first pitcher's on me, if anyone wants to get a drink during or after.

Have fun bro! Since most of the SoCal cycling community will be watching the TT in LA, I'll head up Palomar for a quiet day in the mountains. By the way, who are these useless posers sitting on your wheel?

In...arriving early in the AM (hopefully ESPN Zone) to catch a seat for Champion's League final then head outdoors to stand in the 10th row to watch the TT.

Hi,

My wife and I will be volunteer course marshals somewhere on the course. We've been course marshals every year except last year (too many volunteers for Lance's first ToC) and we've always caught glimpses of ourselves on the Versus broadcast.

I will be there too with a friend or two. We will probably camp out at Yardhouse for CL Final. Unless its a madhouse.

So what will the crowds be like? Based on the course route, where would be a good place to watch and not have to look over 5 rows of heads?

I saw the live stream online but it didn't start til 2:30. I didn't think the crowds were very big at all. And there were plenty of places with no one there.
My problem was parking. I should have just parked at Staples and walked out from there.

This is at the podium, at Staples, at ground zero. I saw some blocks with 2 people on the whole city block.

I should have gone down there, it was wide open. Along Exposition, the southern side of SC there was no one. Well, SC is a commuter college so, I guess the kids are all at home. And it's not football, you can't chug-a-lug beer while watching bike races so the SC kids weren't interested.
I thought it would be jam packed all over. A lot of people were watching in their cars, as I guess Fig and maybe Olive had a fence and two outside lanes of traffic.
But the cars didn't seem to move.
Well tomorrow is either Lake Malibu or Malibu Junction. I may take my camera.

Was a fantastic day for a bike ride. Don’t know that I took a pic worth a darn, but I’ll review them.

Both side of the street around the finish line were blocked to the public. Some of the blocks where you saw 2 people either weren't accessible or weren't disireable.
