Bike fitting expert

I've been back on three years now. I've got about two on my first new bike in 30 years. I had the initial shop setup. Now after going along, making minor tweaks, searching for the grail and after a recent experience where I finally made a small cleat adjustment that produced incredible result, I'm figuring its time to stop experimenting and to sit with an expert with a yards of experience and yards of recommendations

I know I've seen some names on this forum but a quick search didn't rope in anything so--

please help and tell me who is the best out there, I'm in OC but will travel some.

I'm very happy with Ashton Johnson at Sundance Cycles in Agoura Hills (just north of the San Fernando Valley).

The fitter who works out of Bannings Bikes in Fullerton is a guy by the name of Hans. he does good work, IMO. 90 minutes with him cost me $120, which I thought was pretty reasonable. He doesn't use motion capture software or any such thing; I think it would be safe to say that his methods are old-school, but he's pretty experienced, and I know riders far more seasoned than I who think pretty highly of his work. If you want to make an appointment with him, you need to give them at least 48 hours of lead time. He's not in the store every day.

I think THE man for bike fitting in OC is Robert Kahler at Santiago Cycling in Tustin: https://www.cyclingpros.com/Torture.htm#Posi-Fit

Andy is at the BCSM.

The OP specifically asked who the best is out there and Andy is undeniably the best.

Yes, "travel some" is open to interpretation, even to Boulder.

Hey thanks, I was going to ask where is BCSM, then did quick google. Question answered on steroids. Wow, but I don't think I can get to to Colorado. Anybody else know Hans or Robert?

Nate Loyal uses Helen's Cycles in Santa Monica to do his fittings. Its upstairs where all the high end bikes are at. I watched him do a fitting for Sarah Hammer. I just happened to be there when these two professionals had their appt. Sarah was on her Felt track bike getting ready for competition.

Another vote for Nate Loyal: https://nateloyal.com/
I've been to 3 different fitters so far this millenium, and he was the most patient, thorough, and explanatory.

He was my last stop before going along with knee surgery.

Since I was already driving way up to Santa Monica, I splurged and got the spin-analyzer session--Nate pointed out my weak spot, and recommend some gym exercises. It helped tremendously.

Jim at FinalFit is awesome. Technology and biometrics become one... He can get bikes at reduced prices too and he'll throw in free fit.
