Turkey Day bike ride along the beach with Tony Cruz and IRT wheels

This morning I organized a small bike ride from Long Beach to Newport to get the blood flowing. Had Tony Cruz, former olympian/team US Postal/ Team BMC/ now Cruz racing along with the IRT carbon race team boys along with us.

My Arenberg CL1 test bike with ARC phoenix wheels/dura ace and my granny bag to carry everyone else's stuff

Tony Cruz

Ray from Torelli bikes brought along awesomeness

Tavis' Lightspeed Xicon with ultegra groupo/ Stan's no tubes etc

What bike locks?

Happy Turkey day

Why do riders sit on the top tube?

Laziness?

I do it on my Litespeed when stopped at red lights. I don't dare on the CF Tarmac tho.

Hi,

Hope Tony was doing well with all of the crazy stuff going on in his life.

I sit on the top tube because all the cool kids do it. Actually, I do it because it's there -- it beats supporting most of your weight on one leg while you're waiting for a light to change.

Unfortunately, it seems that his company has already hit hard times. I really hope that Tony & his partners and investors can reassess their situation, develop a new strategy and move forward. Anyone know if LB Bike Fest 2011 is happening?

Vstudio, perhaps I've seen you at Douglas Park?
