raising seat post and shoulder soreness

hi all im a new rider and wanted to ask all of you this.im playing with the height of my seat post with my new cervelo r3 in order to take pressure off my bad knee.as i raise my seat post it seems my shoulders become more sore the next day .i lift weights form years and work my shoulders, so it surprises me. however, i realize that im using my shoulders in a totally new way now also.any suggestions or comments would be great

try less height and more setback.

that should put less pressure on your arms because most of your weight is further back.
