float question on speedplay

when you tighten float should i assume its harder to twist and click out?im maxed at 15 degrees but can now see after just one ride i would not mind it tighter

You need to tell us if you have Zero or X pedals. On Zero you adjust the float. If kept very narrow, your foot can release early. I suggest that you spend some time at the speedplay web site. http://www.speedplay.com/index.cfm?f....thumbs&cgid=3

Actually the web link is very informative cervelo4me. You need to go through the process of adjusting the float that works for you as you ride. I just replaced my cleats and am going through the same process. My experience with the float adjustment is that over time and conditions, I need to adjust the heel out float position a smidge. It makes a big difference with the ride comfort for me.
Good luck and ride safe!

It does not get any harder to unclip when the float is tightened. You also don't release any earlier in my experience, although I don't know why that is.
