I am going to do the century, it is going to be my first organized century ever! Would anyone be willing to do some group rides, so that I can get some experience riding with others?

The problem is that a couple of my old friends want to do the century too, but I really don't think they will be able to do it. And I don't wanna stay in the back with them throughout the ride.

Alright so I'm in. I just registered for the century. Mtrider: I am very rarely free on the weekends.
and my weeks are not all that great either. I ride Asuza and GMR very frequently so I am not too worried about the climbing. See you there.

I'm free whenever for a while so if you want to ride with some other people drop me a line, I'll happily come down.

In for the century. It.has 7500 ft but that head wind coming out azusa canyon will make it feel like more. I think last year they had like 800 riders.

7500ft climbing sounds like a lot.
This is a ride I did a while back, I had a good night's rest and breakfast(i almost never eat breakfast on all my other rides.) https://app.strava.com/rides/1655741
Do you guys think I will be able to do the ride? I still felt good when I finished this one so I think I will be able to.
I'm only 16 years old so I don't know if I have built the strength and endurance for a ride like the century yet.

Haha Don't worry you can make it. The climbing is not all that bad. Just take your time. Maybe go ride up there this weekend. It's a lot of fun and if you practice before the event you may enjoy it better.

I did this ride yesterday: https://app.strava.com/rides/1982942
Now I am pretty certain I can do the climbing in the Tour de Foothills century, not too sure about the distance though....I guess I need to start doing longer rides now!

You will be fine, finishing is more mental on a hard ride.
