101 mile San Clemente/La jolla Rad Fondo #4

Sorry for the last minute post. 101 mile training ride from San Clemente to La Jolla and back. Saturday Jan. 14th, 7:00 am San Clemente Cyclery.

Rad Fondo #4 - https://www.radfondo.com/2011/12/rad-fondo-4.html

Winter training pace, ridden as a group. 2 quick supported stops and free lunch at the finish. Yes, it is a free event.

Should have between 60/100 riders so good way to get pack experience. There are future events at www.radfondo.com

You can email me at radfondo@cox.net and tell a friend!

Yes! Bikes and trains; it's a winning combination!

Yes but the Amtrak schedule is not so good depending on your destination. Check the Metrolink/Coaster schedule as well as there are more trains.

Metrolink and Coaster both terminate in Oceanside. Since they are commuter rail and serving opposite ends, their schedules do not really mesh.
Best bet is Amtrak all the way.

Quick Ride Report

We had 85 riders for Rad Fondo #4. We completed the route in 5:24 (actual saddle time). Weather was cool but we had no wind for the entire ride! The group stayed together until about the last 20 miles when a few splits happened.

Great ride with great riders. Come join us on February 11th for Rad Fondo #5 - route TBD. I will post when the route is up.

I have posted a bunch of pictures of the event www.radfondo.com Get on the email list by sending your contact info to radfondo@cox.net

See you on the road,
