San Luis Obispo- Favorite SLO rides?
We are heading down to SLO for an upcoming weekend and will be bringing our tandem. Any favorite rides in the area? We love nice scenery, really tasty lunch spots, wineries, and not too much climbing! The best would be rides in the 20-35 mile range.
Thanks in advance!

Great website for SLO rides SLOBC.org. The bike club up there provides routes slip and descriptions of rides. I have all kinds of favorite rides - its hard to choose.
Since the website offers descriptions of all the ride - find one that suits you... I love that Bob Jones Parkway if you can incorporate it into a ride...
BTW If there are any SLOBC riders reading this... I love your website. It's the cadillac of bike club sites!!!!

Hi ROJA and stoker!
I'm a SLOBC member and long time central coast rider. From SLO your choices without too much climbing include northwest along Los Osos Valley Road to Morro Bay (maybe a side trip to Montana de Oro) and then on to Hwy 1 from Morro Bay to Cayucos and return. Another choice (my favorite) would be south down Orcutt Rd, through Edna Valley, and join Hwy 227 either up to Lopez Lake or down to Arroyo Grande, then up the coast through Pismo and take the side trip out to Avila Beach, returning to SLO along Higuera St.
There are pleanty of other options, too many to cover easily. I would be happy to work out more details if you want. I did a quick Google map of both routes here:

I am a big fan of SLO riding!! (my bro lives in Los Osos)
If you don't mind a little dirt section, I vote for this ride. Really cool country road feel.

I just read that you don't want much climbing. Hmm, you might not like this ride after all!!
