I few months ago I was flying down a trail between two subdivisions at night and damn near hit an owl, scared the crap out of the poor bastard. He barely got up high enough for me to yank my head out of the way. If I hit him, it was gonna be beaks and claws in my grill and a 100ft slide through scree.
