Anyone done the Solvang Metric

My wife and I did the Century last year and the climbing coming at the end of the ride is a bit tough on a senior-powered tandem. We're thinking of the metric, the harder of the two shorter rides, but even though the total climbing is less, the climbs themselves look comparable. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone whose either done both or just done the Metric.

BTW, for anyone registered the weather looks to be absolutely perfect. Really looking forward to the ride whichever course we choose.

Bikes: Trek Émonda, 1961 Follis (French) road bike (I'm the original owner), a fixie, a mountain bike, etc.

Have never done the metric, although I'm thinking about it this year - I'm riding with my brother on his tandem and I'm not sure I've put in enough miles on my own to complete the century without putting myself through some serious pain.

Good luck, and maybe we'll see you!

I'm signed up for the century. It will be my first and I'm glad the weather appears to be cooperating!

Not sure I'm 100% physically prepared, but I am gonna suck it upppp!!!

My wife and I are signed up for the full century. It will be her first century this year, my fourth.

Will be wearing OCRR kit. See you out there!

For what is worth, I have done the both metrics and the century on a fixed gear bike. The first time we did the "harder" metric. It was fun. Have a great ride!
