SART 7/28 and 7/29
OK, got it. There are pics of forum members in my blog if interested (link in signature below).
Got some footage of Yen, Alex2, LewisAClark and a few others.
Sunday was another 42 miles on the trail with Gina and Jose (El Monarcha). Another stiff headwind, but when isn't it ha ha! Quickly ran into PinoybenterRon. Nice to see him after a long time without having a chance to chat. Later in the ride we would pick up LewisAClark who joined in our little fight the wind line. I would have to say that I was tired this day so having reinforcements was great. Both dudes, Jose and LAC took good strong pulls and lead the way to the coast, nice!
At the coast we had a short visit with Jordan and met an interesting dude named Rambler. Wow, what a nice Colnago. He had some nice stuff, seat post and stem painted to match the bike as well as some custom decals on his wheels. Pleasant girlfriend and lots of good humor from the guy! Forgot to dd that Rambler met Ernesto and had his bike signed in ink. He has it covered up with some 3M clear tape to keep it protected.
Gina's sons were at the coast having some beach fun so we rode down the way for a visit. Along with a visit with grand kids I got a piece of chicken so I was happy.
Saturday visits and a short bit or ride footage was mixed in with this video.

Kept my eyes open for you guys, but didn't see you guys. I started at 8 (late start) from Green River to PCH and back. No rest. Just enough time to refill my waterbottles at the coast and turn around. I'm working on getting this ride down under 3 hrs (total time) Long way to go. Good ride. Forgot the sunscreen and bandana and burned my head, again.

Blocked, oh darn!
Yeah Genaro, those little curves are dangerous, especially with the little pot holes and stuff.

Some of that detour pavement does suck. Pretend it's Paris Roubaix for a few seconds.

I never rode with you but always looking forward to your weekly video. It is nice to see Yen , I remember her coming to BF as a newbie and now she and her husband doing 50 miles ride. That Rambler guy has some great looking matching stuff, I think even his helmet had matching colors too. BTW, what place is where you talked to everyone on the video.

We hang out at the first rest stop after exiting SART. Life guard tower #2 out on the sand, pretty much the end of HB.

I rode with my son Sunday down SGRT which is one of the worst day of our rides. We start out near Encanto Park, when we got to the gate at Santa Fe Recreation entrance, we were stopped because of a car accident down at the entrance. They are waiting for a helicopter to land on the bike path to pick up the victim. So all the cyclists were stuck there and have no where to go. Finally the heli came & the ambulance brought the injured guy & flew him off. Hope he is ok, his car is total. So finally they opened the bike path & we were able to move on. On our way back, my son's rear tire keep losing air, I couldn't see any leak ( it has a new tire) so I keep pumping it up very 3 miles, finally I put a new tube in and hope the trouble is over. On his ascend up the dam, his chain ripped opened and fell apart. So he has to walked his bike about 3 miles back to the car. And when I got back home to bring the bike in for a new chain, we found out somehow the rear derailleur ( Shimano ultegra) is destroyed.
