Interesting Rides Around Downtown LA?
I'm staying in DTLA this coming week, hoping to get some rides in from the vicinity of my hotel. Google maps doesn't make much of a suggestion, are there any good routes for a fun and reasonably safe ride, say an hour or so total, that are close-in to the area? (I expect I'll be riding early in the morning)

You might need more time, but you can ride on some streets to the Ballona creek trail, and then head down to Marina Del Rey, then ride up or down the beach road

You can also head north towards Dodger Stadium and pick up the LA river trail, and then ride around Griffith park.
I just don't think there are a lot of interesting rides that terminate in downtown LA, hopefully somebody else will chime in.

I've enjoyed the few DLA rides I've taken, as it gives me the opportunity to see things I wouldn't ordinarily see while driving, and am looking forward eagerly to the next CicLAvia.
