2012 Olympic Road Race Replay + misc

NBC Sports (#469 TWC) will replay the Road Race tonight at 10 PM pdt. This is a 2 hour show.

The 405/605 HOV construction project will see the bridge over the 405 (Near Spaghettini Restaurant) narrowed
down to 2 lanes with a central emergency only lane. This will start at 5am Sunday, 8-19-2012. This is a lane configuration
which will likely exclude cyclists on the shoulder, and will last for 11 months. If you ride it during rush hour, take the full lane. If you ride
it when traffic is at full speed do so with extreme caution. If you need to bypass the bridge going north, take a detour
and turn left at the signal at North Gate Road, Leisure World, on the road-to-nowhere. This will take you west to the
SGRT bike path.

Hacienda Heights is already creepy enough, with proximity to Turnbull Canyon.
Now there is news of 2 big Pot grow houses discovered.

As small as this area is, this is important news for cyclists since the growers may have lookouts and private security.

Thanks for the PSA - good to know.

There's a surprising amount of pot growing activity in Hacienda / Covina / Industry and most of it seems to be Chinese gangs of some stripe or other. You'd think the power company would be able to tell when that much power is being siphoned off.
