Looking to rent a recumbent for a day

I know this is kind of a long shot, but I figure i'd try...

I havent been able to find a bike shop in southern california that rents recumbents. I'd really like to try one, and a brief test drive isnt enough. I want to take one on a full ride, to see if it's for me.

If anyone is willing to lend one to me, i'll pay $40-$60 depending on the model, to use it for 4-6 hours on a saturday or sunday. I will leave my road bike with you for collateral in case of any damage. I'll give you all my info, so there's no concerns with theft.

Thanks

Talk to Dana at BentUp as Will says. I don't know that he rents recumbents, but he has a program to facilitate a fairly extensive introduction to recumbents if you're a potentially serious buyer. He has some regularly scheduled shop rides, and will meet at remote locations for test rides.

I've been in your EXACT situation, and I'd love to make that happen for you! I have a Catrike 700, don't know if you were specifically looking for LWB or SWB or what have you...

I'm in the San Gabriel Valley, PM me to see if this will work for you!
