Likewise, I think I'm going to head out and head down SGRT to Seal beach, probably about 53 miles + whatever that detour adds. I just don't want to have to drive to where I'm riding.

The forecast for tomorrow morning looks bad, so likely I'll be on the trainer in the garage doing some bonk training. That means I'll hop on the trainer for an hour or so on an empty stomach. I've packed on about 7lbs in the past few weeks, and I need to get the weight back under control. On Sunday morning, I'll do a bonk training ride down the Coyote Creek trail to Seal Beach and back, about 32 miles.

This weather is exciting, I get to get my heavy jacket out. If the waether is not too wet. I am heading up as far as I can to the village and beyond. I am also starting late to hopefully miss most of it? If I dont get out on Saturday I am not riding though. Great weather for mountain biking I guess that would be an option, over near Lytle Creek.

I'm apartment hunting so I gotta ride by 8am tomorrow. I need to get 56 miles in this weekend to get 100 for the week. As if this cold isn't bad enough now you tell me it might rain?

Hmm, I checked the forecast and out here in the IE it says 20% chance of rain tomorrow.

Yesterday was a little windy but it was otherwise great. 44 miles on SART, breakfast in HB, coffee at Portola. Felt great to be back on the bike after two weeks off. A glorious fall day.

Did anyone ride GMR / GRR today? If so, what was it like?

We have some homies in town and are planning to head up there tomorrow morning.

What say ye?

Only got to ride one day (today) this weekend. Brutal headwind heading east. Rode by the Chino airport and could see the wind sock pointing straight at me. Knew I was in for a killer tailwind heading home to the west. It was fun sprinting up to 30mph with relative ease. Had a minivan pacing me at one point that seemed baffled by my 30+mph speed Not nearly as cold as I was expecting around 11-12.

Sat: San Juan Capistrano to Oceanside.
Sun: Oceanside to Mt. Soledad. We came down Mt. Soledad to the coast then took a detour though residential streets to get to Torrey Pines Rd. Ended up going about halfway up the hill again.

Here is my ride. Head wind all the way from Fontana to GMR, that hurt me on the initial climb but I recovered suprisingly fast and flew to the Village were it was quite cold. Not as bad as later in the season but still 40 plus wind chill and the descent was entirely in the shade. I got more PR then I thought I would but a few of them were wind aid but others were short hill climbs at the end of my ride.

On a side note a few months ago when I did this ride on my Garmin I got 5600 ft. The shows 6500 ft and I used my phone.

Rode Lytle via Sierra again Saturday, https://app.strava.com/activities/27426586
A little cold, but I can't say much, started a similar ride last year and it started snowing half way up.
Nice little tailwind this time too on the way up.

I rode the SART as planned. 59 miles, Green River to PCH and back. Nice headwind on the way back made our ride quite miserable, but got a killer workotu out of it. My legs were screaming on that last stretch before the golf course

Forgot to mention, it was miserable cold for the first 15 mins of this ride. Think it was in the 40's when we started

I live real close to Sierra so how about we meet on the corner of Turnberry and Summit. It is the 2nd entrance into Sierra Lakes community right before you hit Sierra. Let's try to get a small group to ride
