Taking a ride up to Lytle Creek with Lesper and another buddy of mine on Sunday @ 7AM, if anyone is interested.
Lytle creek is a moderately easy climb. Approximately 3500 feet at a 3-4 % avg, until the end where it picks up a bit. May end up adding some milege afterwards around the Devore area. The base of the climb is Sierra and Summit.

Going flat on Sunday- circling from SART around to SGRT and then back to SART. I'm trying to hit that 79 mile challenge on Strava, since this one is actually achievable by mortals with jobs.

Riding GMR/GRR on Sat. with 8:30AM click-in from Boulder Springs in Glendora. Not sure how I'll do since I'm still recovering from the crash on Nov. 5th, still some pain in my right leg.

On the other hand, GMR will be a great recovery ride! Or . . . if not, and the pain is too much, will coast back down the mountain, but at least will give it a good try! My wife Jackie is riding it too (with Sheree), plus Linda Adams, Lou Ann and probably Sylvia too. John Nguyen is a maybe . . .

Going on a Breeze Network (Girls Only) ride around the Trans Penine Trail and Fallowfield Loop Line.

An easy ride including quiet road and some muddy trails

San Pasqual Valley this morning.

Here's a shot from the top of Bandy Canyon. That's the Wild Animal Park (Safari Park) at the foot of the hills in the background...

Rode up Palomar from Oceanside for the first time. The climb was fab, but some of the roads we took to the base of the mountain were too busy for my taste.

We pushed off with wet asphalt, and it looked like it might rain all day, but we got nary a drop.

I am suprised you got that much elevation out of it, the profile looks deceiving besides the big clmb.

You're good as long as you're not lost at the end. How did Cole Gr Rd feel at mile 80?

Lol ... funny you would ask that. I had heard of the infamous Cole climb.

You know how it happens sometimes that you look at a climb looming in front of you, and realize that it only looks steep because you're currently going downhill and the your descent visually adds steepness to the climb in front of you that really isn't there?

Cole was like that ... except when I wasn't going downhill as I was looking at it from the bottom. I was going uphill.

Rode 30 miles today.

Started at 3p good thing i didn't remove my lights. It was already dark on the way home. I did spend some time in the shop and ended up ordering a thomson x2 10 degree stem. I got 20% off discount.

On Saturday, November 17, I rode in the Santa Barbara edition of the ADA Tour de Cure.

It was cold, it was wet, it was windy…but I had a blast.

With apologies to Gene Kelly

I'm riding in the rain
Just riding in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I ride down the road
With a happy refrain
Just riding,
Riding in the rain
