carbon fiber frame repair in san diego...?

anyone have any good experience with a carbon repair place in san diego area that they'd refer? los angeles/orange county is doable too if the referral is for a top notch place.

have an aluminum frame with carbon stays that i absolutely love but i'm worried about some minute fissures/lines on the carbon stays near the dropouts that appeared
not long after after a 20 mph crash. haven't ridden the frame since.

I haven't used them but I've seen their work and couldn't tell where the repair was. https://www.carbonframerepair.com/

Are you the original owner, and did you buy it from a shop?
If so, you might be pleasantly surprised. Most bike mfr's today understand that carbon frames are disposabikes and they'll replace it without blinking.
My situation was similar to yours: snapped chainstay of my 4-year-old alu-frame with carbon fork & stays. I called Felt to see if they'd offer me some kind of discount on a replacement frame, even though it was 4 years old, and they told me to simply take it back to Pacific Coast Cycles and they'd replace it for free.

He crashed his though. The manufacturer might have a crash replacement policy though... even if it's not cheaper than repair it might make you happier in the end.

haha. not the og owner as i 'e-bayed' the frame and picked it up in pasadena. it was a replacement frame for the og owner due to a crash. he got tired of waiting for the
replacement frame and picked up another bike before this frame arrived.

i'll give carbon frame repair a try. they're about 30-35 mins away. thanks for the help! =)

Hopefully anyone considering a used carbon frame on Ebay will notice this thread, (especially the disposabike aspect.) Hope you got a smokin' deal on it.

i did. frame was about $2800-$2900 new. got it brand new for an even $1000 and got it rode it for a solid 3.5 years. great climbing machine. really wanna resuscitate it if possible and if it's less than $400-$500 for a quality repair, it would be worth it to me.

Carbon Fiber Bicycle Repair

Even though your issue sounds resolved, I share these highly regarded recommendations for carbon repair (and sorry, I don't think they're in San Diego):

a little late for me but a good reference posting nonetheless. a quick glance around the carbon frame repair shop revealed a half-dozen seriously compromised frames. there's hope for carbon-lovers out there.
