Anybody know if there's snow on the ground at Crystal Lake?

I'm thinking about taking my kids up there tomorrow, and I'm wondering if anyone knows. Thanks.

Most likely, yes. I heard the snow level is dropping down to 2500 feet with this little storm we're having right now. Have fun!

Crystal lake just updated on FB that it is indeed snowing up there. "There is about a foot, more accumulating."

There will definitely be snow up there. I've taken my kids up there just to play in the snow, and after a day like today they'll have a pretty good amount.

It was a lot colder than I was expecting too...bring layers, and remember the snack shop is cash only (and they sell hot chocolate).

Usually if it is this cold down here and raining, then you are gonna have snow up in the mountains.

I'm glad I asked on here. I called the information number for Crystal Lake, and they reported no snow. (probably some guy sitting in an office somewhere in the Valley.) We're heading up tomorrow - thanks, all!

Yesterday I rode up to 4 Corners on Maple Springs (mid Orange County). Lots of snow; too much for me and the ice and snow was alittle scary. But its always very cool to see the white stuff where its normally gritty and dry. Got to take advantage of special moments!
