Pretty freakin' stupid! Try to steal his bike stab him, then abandon the bike nearby? Freakin' idiots!

Not that it makes it right, but I don't think I'd ride a bike alone if I were a young kid of 17 with all crap going on in this world. Like the times Gina tells me, go ahead without me, I'll meet you there, FFFFFFF^@K NO!

Well, there are certainly some areas of La Habra I wouldn't want to ride; I generally keep to the main streets through there (I frequently ride through La habra but on one of Lambert, La Habra or Whittier Blvd) and I have rarely even thought I might have a problem.

Pathetic though - what's wrong with people? I recently picked up a little can of mace for just such an occasion but I'm not convinced that would necessarily have the effect i want either. Rough times.

Something tells me we're only getting one side of the story, here. I'm not at all defending the guys who stabbed him - but think it's pretty rare for someone to get stabbed for absolutely no reason.

They said, "Give us your bike!". He said, "No way." *stabbed*

Agreed. There are areas around where I live, Tustin that my wife and 13 yr old son ride and I don't worry....BUT there are areas of SART and other places where I don't want them out of my sight.

And then did steal his bike.

What is it with some of these guys that always want to find blame with the victims?

This is an example of by your description that rare occurrence.
