I-405 underpass at Irvine Center Drive is closed as of April 24th - Gates locked.

I tried taking the underpass that leads from the San Diego Creek Trail to Los Olivos bike path on the other side of the 405, but the fence leading to the underpass has been padlocked (as of Wednesday, April 24). I can only assume this means that "they" will begin rehabbing this part of the path.. But for now, its closed and we are forced to cross the freeway over the bridge.

If anyone has a more recent update, please post to this thread...

I saw that too. I think it may be because of the rain forecast, since it is flood prone. I'll be checking it out this afternoon. Hopefully it is back open. If not, I may try to find a way around the gate.
