Heh--Got a coincidental pic in almost the exact same place on the course that I took from last year's Mount Laguna Bicycle Classic.
2012:
2013:
Here are a few more from the ride. We just noodled along, enjoying the day--didn't really keep up with the faster riders.

If I can switch seats to my triple, and since the temperature forecast is a lot more reasonable than what was forecast earlier in the week, I'm going to try for the Baldy ski lifts tomorrow. (I like to park and start from George Manooshian Park as it gives me a couple of flat miles before the climbing starts.) I'll be getting a bit of a late start as I need to take the car in for some minor repair/maintenance first. But, I'll bring my lights, just in case. Sunset tomorrow is 1932.

Volo, that's got to give you a whopping half mile of flat. And by flat, I really mean "flat" of course.

Adventurecorps finally put up the times of MLBC participants (but not photos or reports). 8 days and counting. This has to be the longest delay I've seen in the last year +.
Chris: it's showing you and Lauretta rolling into the finish line literally 2 minutes ahead of me. I wonder why I didn't notice you. Also, is 10:51 the correct time for your end of the second loop? That's really fast.

They even shut down the Kitchen Creek aid station before we got there.
I got the feeling the turnout was a little lower than previous years. It's a tough ride. Definitely going to be in shape for the 100 miler next year!

Naah, Lauretta and I only did two laps total, the 70-miler. Was sure glad I'd flipped my stem up and put on my 28mm tires, because now I can claim I've finished first at an Adventurecorps ride, and last.

I won't be riding MLBC next year. I've already decided to join my company's Ragnar Relay team - 200 miles from OC to San Diego. The Ragnar Relay runs the same weekend as MLBC.
