Rosarito Beach Mexico
I will be spending the weekend in Rosarito and wonder if I should bring my bike. I'd love to ride between 30 to 50 miles but wonder if it is safe and if the roads are feasible. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I used to have a beach house just a little north. That was many years ago and I expect the roads were a bit quieter, friendlier then. Would I bike in that area - absolutely not. Would I dine on lobster and steak - absolutely yes.

The last time I was there I witnessed a shooting up of a storefront. Duck and cover. Even though I caught enough fish to feed the entire complex I was in...never been back. Cops called it "a legal dispute." I might ride an Ensenada run but only with a large group.

If you're familiar with the area, you'll probably be ok. If you have to ask....

I have a condo just north of Rosarito Beach. I do not ride my bike there. No shoulders, narrow roads and drunk drivers (U.S.A). make this not the best place to ride. Go for a run on the beach. Have a taco at Yachi Taco just off the main street, Best around. Enjoy the city is is nice to get away to.
