Anyone ever been up Chaney Trail in Alta Dena?

Looks like one of the toughest short climbs in the San Gabriel Valley:

It's paved at the lower end, where it's quite steep. Above Echo Mountain, the gradient moderates because the road was once the Mt Lowe Railway. I've hiked it a number of times, but never ridden it. Fire road all the way to Eaton Saddle and the Mt Wilson road. I've thought about riding it.

The pavement goes all the way up the steep part to where there's a turnoff to echo mountain and the fire road continues up to Mount Lowe, and then on to intersect the Red Box road. The paved part is entirely road bikeable, and the fire road is generally road bikeable, depending on how intrepid you are and how recently they've run a grader over it.
