I know there is the Janus Century on Saturday and Sunday put on by the LA Wheelman and also the Tour de Francis by Adobo Velo. I was hoping to ride GMR but it may be shut down and anything SW of it will have smoke in the air?

Finally free to ride after three months of crutches, cast, and 18 pounds of weight gain!
Tonight after work, riding PCH to Torrey Pines grade & back.
Maybe ride the Swami's loop in reverse tomorrow, but somewhere in the Eastern hills.
And then Sunday, meeting a friend for a noodling ride around Redlands and a beer at Hangar 22.
Got a lot of weight to burn off before l'Etape in April.

So you are going opposite the gran tour route? So the routes are switched this year? https://www.lawheelmen.org/ride-with-...view-of-rides/ (clockwise)

Not sure yet. I'm home for the weekend. I've been in Jackson TN for two weeks and will be there till the end of February. I was originally contemplating taking my bike out there but after being there for two weeks and although it is beautiful country out there, the roads just don't appear to be very pleasant and safe. Very narrow and the folk drive very fast out there, so I'll just have to do with the stationary bike at the hotel.

I'll just be happy to get on my bike after freezing my butt off in TN for the last two weeks, before I have to head back on Monday. Might just cruise the foothills in either direction..

I'll be on the Los Angeles Wheelmen Janus Century but I'll be doing day one on Saturday because I love the Potrero climb. All three of them actually but esp. the brutal one in the middle . My 34/32 is fine with Potrero.
Then Sunday, if GMR is cleared for take-off I'm doing a mountain bike ride up (and then down) Monroe Truck Trail. The climb should be easy but if it's too scary on the descent I'll just wuss-out and take to the paved part of GMR. Ride organized by Lois Ruben who said I could for sure do it even with my minimal mountain bike skill set.

Tomorrow is family ride on SART day... I'll probably ride there and back to get some extra miles in but we'll start at the leaky fountain and ride to the beach and back.

Fixed up my buddy's bike for him. We went for a ride, his first in 12 years. Only about 10 miles round trip at a pace best described as deliberate. Still was fun.
