It's Raining Out - OMG
So 30 minutes before I'm getting ready to go for a ride I realize it's raining (I'm on the West Side.) This will officially be my first missed ride of the season due to rain. I guess we've been spoiled so far this winter.

Continuous drizzle. I don't mind heading out if the roads are starting to dry out (which happens fast here) but I don't do actual rain (don't own fenders or a rain jacket.)
I'll just end up riding tomorrow instead of today.

I wish it would rain down in my area. I'm not looking forward to water rationing.

Carbon doesn't rust, you know. Neither does aluminum. The only think you really have to worry about is your chain, so go ride in the rain! I'll stay home and watch.

I'm laid up with a bad knee right now. But would have totally ridden tonight if I wasn't. In just a jersey. Long sleeve or short with warmers - barely wet out in OC.

I do have a bike with fenders and I do own a rain jacket and I don't mind riding in the rain. In most cases, I kind of like it. Sure, things that are a bit slippery already (railroad tracks and painted while lines) get a lot more slippery when wet, but just adjust for that and you'll be fine.
Look at it this way: Rain; it's just water.

I actually enjoy riding in the rain when it starts raining while I'm riding. I hate, hate, hate starting a ride in the rain.

It's more that it doesn't really rain much here so I have the luxury of avoiding it. I was going to be riding in the dark yesterday. The glare from headlights can be pretty bad when your glasses are covered in water. When we get one of the weeks where it rains nonstop for several days I'm usually pretty miserable.
No worries though, I'll be riding tonight instead. It just means I don't get a rest day before my Sat/Sun rides.

it was a pleasant enough rain to just moisten the roads a little to keep the dust down in the santa monicas. almost got to the point where
i cursed myself for the rookie mistake of not packing a light rain jacket. almost.

Just don't make the mistake of wearing a white jersey when the roads are wet.

Drizzles just beginning here on the edge of ventura county now. Radar shows good showers around us.

It started raining about 30 minutes after I got back from my 47 miler today. I must have good karma.

I didn't get rained out again this Thursday. I saw the rain in the forecast and rode yesterday instead.

I rode yesterday too. Today was "gee, I'm glad I rode yesterday" day.
Of course, my bike got a complete bath and lube on Monday so I'm extra reluctant to ride in rain. Normally it's not a terrible thing.
