Friday's stage - Tour De California
Spent the day at the top of Table Top Mountain, Wrightwood. Got there early to watch the festivities and other (slubs like us) ride up the hill. After a long wait, went down to the road to watch the riders... it was chaos, I sortof missed a good shot of Bradley Wiggins but I did get a photo of his weird roadie shoes...lace-up - really?
The finish line before the chaos
Sweeping the pot holes (really?)
Bradley Wiggins
Peleton photos
Cav and Sagan
Afterwards the chaos to get off the mountain top - we couldn't catch the shuttle and had to walk down. I have a healthy respect for the hill these guys had to climb!

My friend and I took a slightly different approach--found a nice shady spot right at the turn on to the road leading to the final climb.

Giro Empire shoes. Taylor Phinney wears silver ones, pretty popular
Laces come from old school and track. Benefits are more custom form fitting and lighter weight.
Negatives are not adjustable on the fly
I saw the race when it ended in Pasadena. Lots of fun watching it.
I was hoping Van Arement would hold off the pack but Sagan had a pretty easy win yesterday.
