Riding suggestons sought for Phoenix NW area, by the Cardinal Football Stadium
I grew up in S. Phoenix and nothing by the stadium was even developed there, much less a stadium.
I will be staying in a Hotel behind the Cabela's. I am bringing a road bike. I would like to get a couple of 40 - 50 mile rides in over the Memorial Day Weekend. Any ideas? Are there any good MUP trail systems?

@BoSoxYacht might be able to help more with this.
Tons of great riding up that way (I lived north of their for almost 9 years). You could head west to the White Tanks or north to the Lake Pleasant/Vistancia area. Tons of bike lanes in the area, and the New River canal path is right next to the stadium.

Ditto on the New River Trail. It will take you to the Arizona Canal Trail. From there you can easily cruise the valley. Use the bicycle features in google maps or here is an interactive bike map.

Another choice would be the Grand Canal Trail. It runs by the south side of the stadium grounds. Be aware if you go east on the Grand Canal trail that from 75th Ave east there is little help crossing the major streets. You just have to wait for a break.
