Weekend Fun in Tucson
I was lucky enough to visit over this past weekend. The weather was perfect, riding great, and locals were really friendly. I rented a bike and took the standard run from the University up to the Biosphere and back. I was amazed at how bike friendly the traffic was. Nothing like my riding conditions and drivers in Alaska.
I tried to rent a bike from Fairwheel, but the gem show was going on and all the bikes were rented. I picked up a decent bike next door at a smaller hole in the wall. They were friendly and fixed me up with a good fit.
My wife and I are returning in a few weeks for about 10 days of riding. Can't wait!!
Thanks for the hospitality, landscape & weather Tuscon!

That's funny, I thought Alaska was a pretty cool place to ride! Anchorage has all that trail and the Fireweed was beauty. Cold and wet miserable beauty maybe!
Eh, I've had a pretty good time riding in Tucson, too

Wow, we timed that right! Hopefully, we'll have good weather mid March. On Sunday morning, we drove around the area a bit and saw some of the century riders. Looked like fun. I'm amazed that the traffic is so courteous to riders where shoulders are non-existant. Pretty cool.

Well, if there is snow on the northside, the eastside is usually clear. Old Spanish Trail is a great ride, if you like a few hills.
