I think my heavy breathing scared some of the onlookers up there haha. I didn't even notice the cold weather until I got back to my car at the base of the mountain and took off my jacket (I highly recommend the Salomon jacket that's on sale at REI! :)). I kept up with a Jetta on the way down and the passenger even kind of waved back at me. Fun fun fun.

Congrats man, South Mountain is no easy feat, especially for a cyclist just starting out. It sounds like you have made excellent progress over the past month or so from what I've heard on the asu cycling forums. Keep it up man, and maybe you can come along in a month or so when we head down to Tucson for Mt. Lemmon. :)

Thanks. I've just been trying to ride whenever I can, and I thought I would try to tackle a bigger road than usual (besides, the routine route was getting a bit tedious :P). The downhill ride was WELL worth the climb!
