Tour of the Tucson Mountans . . .

This Saturday's (4/28/12) Tour of the Tucson Mountains was the 26th consecutive year of the popular event.
Unfortunately, due to low attendance (+/- 800 riders) and $$, this tour is being discontinued.
Rode it about 24 times, both on our tandem and on my single bike.
Always a great event; sad to see it go!

In other years I have gone, this year too many things were competing for both me and my friends time. There were at least 10,000 entries one year, how has it changed?

Tour of the Tucson Mountains never had that many entries; largest we recall is about 1,200.
Perhaps you are confusing it with the El Tour de Tucson that usually has 8/9 thousand entries?
Pedal on!

I thought the reason that TTM was ending, was to avoid conflict with Tour De Mesa/Phoenix.
