Yup, Silverbell Road toward the end of the ride was a bit harsh riding even on a c/f bike!
As usual as Bike Patrol, fixed a few flats but was not able to help a guy with a busted rear derailleur and one guy who lost a cleat.
At one point I stopped for a big guy with a flat. Asked him: 'Got a pump or a CO2?' Answer: 'No, but I've got 2 spare tubes'. As I was fixing him up, a female slides to a stop and hollers: 'I'm next!' Wondered why she got a flat as she got new tires put on yesterday. She had one inflator, but it was empty!
Just got to shake your head when folks ride so ill prepared!
But it was a good day for a ride: no brutal sun, no headwind on Silverbell and lots of smiliing faces!

Yeah, Silverbell south of Cortaro Road was a mess, as it always is. Shame on Pima County for allowing this road to look like it was shelled.

Lots of folks were without any type of tire repair equipment. Indeed, it is mind-boggling. Perhaps Perimeter should toss a patch kit in the expo bag next year.

I was in for 111, but ended up with an undiagnosed sinus infection. Only made 51 miles.

Next year.
