Unhappy Must part with my custom Rue Tandem

I used to be on this forum a lot a few years ago and maybe some of you might remember the custom Ruegammer tandem that my daughter and I put together then. Well a few years have passed and a few medical issues have arisen as well as some financial difficulties, so the Rue has to go.

Now is the time to find a proper home for her, with a tandem couple that will care for her and ride her. It is built as a 55cm captain/ 48-50cm stoker. The rear is stretched so a bigger rider could fit. We had just over $13,000 invested and it has seen little and no use in the past two years. I would like to get $6,000 out of it. That would be a bargain for someone who loves tandems and wants a sub-27 pound tandem in their stable. But I will consider all reasonable offers. I thought I would post it here first since this is where the best discussions and interest about tandems happens on the internet. It is a Dura Ace 7700 equipped bike with under 2000 miles total riding. I cannot ship it so someone would have to travel to Charlotte, NC to pick her up. I will post some new pictures here, but it remains basically unchanged from its final build state.

Sorry to hear about the diifficulties. We'd be interested, but a bit too small for us.
